Dev update #11
🔧 Core
Since our last update, the Jami team has focused on fixing numerous bugs and improving Swarm chats. Notably,
we've resolved an issue where banned users in Swarm groups would continue to receive messages until remaining group members restarted their Jami app for the ban to take effect.
💻 Desktop
- For users without a registered name, the Jami identifier was not always updated correctly when switching accounts. This bug, which occurred specifically when switching between two accounts without a registered name, has been corrected.
- Fixed a bug that caused images to appear as downloadable files instead of displaying directly in the chat view. Images are now displayed in the chat without requiring manual download.
🤖 Android
- For SIP accounts only: We've fixed a bug that was preventing users from searching for contacts.
- We're continuing to implement tests for user interface.
📺 Android TV
- Resolved an issue preventing first-click invitation acceptance.
- Addressed a visual glitch causing chat view flicker on new messages.
- Corrected a bug that resulted in missing messages post-invitation.
🍏 iOS
- Account creation has been enhanced with a new user interface and the ability to link accounts using QR code scan.
- Additionally, a video call issue affecting newly installed apps has been resolved.

You can contribute to Jami by becoming a veteran translator on Transifex!
Jami speaks a few languages, but many are missing or incomplete! If you're multilingual, give us a hand by contributing translations to democratize Jami and help us connect to a wider audience 🌍.
We've written a tutorial on how to use Transifex to translate both the application and the website.
