Why we need your help?

Over a decade of hard work has led us to continuously improve Jami to meet modern expectations and standards as you can see in our release history.
Our latest version, Eleutheria, ensures a better calling and texting experience.

As you must know, the heart of Jami is obviously its people, today our team consists of 4 developers and one graphic designer (both working part-time on this project). However, such a small team can only achieve so much, especially given Jami is a distributed peer-to-peer software that is available for all human beings worldwide on different platforms for free.

To date, this project has been primarily supported and funded by Savoir-faire Linux, along with users donations and technical contributions from our community all over the world.

Your contribution will be valuable to help us grow the team in order to enable this project to progress, thrive, and reach more people every day.

Contribution to the development of the Jami ecosystem is one of the fundamental conditions for the success and viability of this platform. We use a multitude of different tools and technologies that range from low-level libraries to high-level development. Jami is also unique because it is one of the few projects that uses distributed technology to return ownership to our users. Jami is the result of 11 years of dedicated R&D aimed at empowering individuals and communities to connect, collaborate, and communicate without restrictions or costs.

By donating to this cause, you are helping to ensure the continued availability and improvement of Jami that respects your privacy, freedom of expression, and digital rights.

Your contribution directly supports expenses related to Jami’s employees, infrastructure, and ongoing maintenance and enhancements to the platform.

Savoir-faire Linux is a Quebec-based consulting services company with over 20 years of experience, specializing in the open-source software industry in Canada.

Jami is the result of 11 years of research and development by Savoir-faire Linux, with the aim of providing all its users with a free, self-reliant, open-source, secure communication platform built on a distributed architecture (Peer to Peer).

Is my personal information safe when making a donation?

Yes, your privacy and security are very important to us.

We use secure, industry-standard encryption methods to protect your personal and financial information. We send all data directly to Stripe's or PayPal, we do not store your personal data or your sensitive payment details.

How will my donation be used?

Your donation will be used to cover the costs associated with maintaining, improving, and promoting Jami. This includes material, development, security, and user support expenses, as well as supporting Jami's team.

We will be publishing a comprehensive expense report regarding the donation campaign.

How can I modify or cancel my recurring donation?

If you made your donation using a credit card, Google Pay or Apple Pay, you can contact us to modify or cancel your recurring donation at contact@jami.net.

If you used PayPal, you can follow these steps:
